A pocas semanas de los mundiales de París y con multitud de Champs de formato Estándar disputados, podemos hacer ya un repaso a lo que hay en el formato. Fundamentalmente encontraremos barajas de control, con las omnipresentes Solar Flare a la cabeza. Además de estas, barajas de control como Orzhov, Izzet, Azorio, etc... están presentes en el metagame. Algunas de ellas con el Pack de tierras de urza y otras con Wildfire. Incluso alguna monocolor nevada. En cualquier caso, pocas barajas agresivas. En el olvido quedaron ya las múltiples versiones aggro Orzhov (Hand in hand, Ghost Dad, Ghost Husk...etc), las Satanic Sligh que tanta guerra dieron al final de la temporada pasada, las gruul con sus Chamanes, las monorojas con mina aullante. En su lugar tan solo encontraremos sucedáneos de estas, convertidas en petatierras (GR Land Destruction), Zoo (la única que subsiste gracias a sus 3/3 de coste dos y uno) y Boros, que ha vuelto con bastante fuerza.
